What is a managed app?

A managed app is an open-source application that we install, host and maintain for you. Instead of renting a server, installing software and keeping it patched yourself, you choose the app and it runs on BetterMade infrastructure at your domain with SSL, while our partner Octane Software sets it up and handles updates and maintenance. You get the flexibility and privacy of running your own copy of the app, without needing to manage a server.

Who manages my app?

Octane Software, our professional services partner. Octane Software installs, updates and maintains every managed app, and is the only party that performs maintenance and updates. BetterMade provides the infrastructure the app runs on.

How does pricing work?

Each app has a one-time setup fee and a monthly management fee. You pay online at checkout. Want to talk it through first? Book a discovery call from any app page.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. We connect the app to your domain or a subdomain, like automations.yourbusiness.com, and secure it with SSL.

What if the app I want isn’t listed?

Request it from the app directory. Tell us which open-source app you’d like to run and we’ll let you know if it can be added.
