What is Managed SSL?

Managed SSL is a service where we handle your SSL certificate for you from start to finish. We issue and install the certificate on your BetterMade-hosted site, then reissue and reinstall it every 90 days for the life of your subscription. You get the security and trust of HTTPS without tracking expiration dates or doing technical installs, and frequent rotation helps limit exposure of your certificate’s private key.

Which sites are supported?

WordPress and Web Hosting on BetterMade hosting platforms. Self-managed servers and sites hosted elsewhere aren’t supported.

How often is the certificate refreshed?

Every 90 days, which works out to about five encryption refreshes per year.

What’s the difference between Managed DV and Managed SAN?

Managed DV secures one website. Managed SAN secures five: one primary domain plus four additional websites.

Do I need to do anything after purchase?
